Double Workshops in Indiana October 19

Eric Basir of Photo Grafix speaking at the Northwest Indiana Genealogical Society Meeting
The beautiful Crown Point Indiana Public Library
This Saturday October 19 at 10 am, you can learn easy-to-use techniques and methods of preserving photos and documents with your computer at the Crown Point Public Library in Indiana. Who's teaching this stuff? Why, it's me!

This workshop—facilitated by the Northwest Indiana Genealogical Society (NWIGS)—promises to be an exciting and entertaining digital restoration roadshow. I plan to take various originals from audience members and help them preserve and restore them. By the way, the NWIGS covers Lake and Porter counties of Indiana. If you're from the area (including metropolitan Chicago), the NWIGS may be able to help you find important genealogical information. They need your support and volunteer hours to keep things running smoothly.

I also plan to bring many of my books and videos. My assistant (and daughter) also plans to attend. She'll bring along some beautiful jewelry that she makes. You ladies will like her handiwork.

I consider myself quite privileged: This will be my second visit with this great genealogical society. My first visit was back in 2008. You can watch those videos on the Photo Grafix University YouTube Channel.
